A stylish teacup, saucer and tea plate manufactured by Adderleys Ltd, Daisy Bank Pottery, Longton, Staffordshire Potteries, England. The trio dates to circa 1926 and is decorated with Art Deco style influences. Each piece is hand painted with patterns of bold black thin lines projecting from the centre outwards, with each rim painted in block black. The rims are solid and decorated with deep purple bands of ribbons and swags of acanthus leaves. The looped handle is also coloured in a block black which accentuates the other black decorative patterns, The teacup is smaller in size in a nice ball shape making it a perfect cup for coffee.

Condition: In very good antique condition. Teacup rings well. Nice bright colours throughout. Some spots of wear on the black colour around the rims, some wear on some of the black lines on saucer, tea plate and teacup handle (nothing that detracts from the stylish design).
