A delightful and colourful fine bone china tea set named after the famous English rose grower “Harry Wheatcroft”. Manufactured by the well respected potters Paragon China (Co) Ltd, Atlas Works, Longton, Staffordshire Potteries, England in circa 1960. The set consists of six teacups, six saucers and six tea plates each one celebrating the depiction of six different roses which were grown by the flamboyant Harry Wheatcroft during his lifetime as a gardener and rose grower (1898 – 1977). The inside of the teacups is coloured in different pastel colours: yellow, green, baby blue and powder pink.
A free book pertaining to the life works of Harry Wheatcroft is given with this tea set.
The names of the roses are Virgo – Rendezvous – Prelude – Peace – Grand Gala – Mme Ch Sauvage
