Product Description

A late Victorian hand painted teacup, saucer and tea plate trio decorated in an Imari style.  This set dates to circa 1912 and was manufactured by Thomas Poole, Cobden Works, Longton, Staffordshire Potteries, England.  Generously decorated over glaze in bright enamels, with typical contrasting black and red colours on a crisp white background.  The teacup, saucer and tea plate are decorated with  scenes of oriental gardens, pargoda  and birds.  The teacup is lightly footed with a nice wide brim and a ring shaped elegant handle.

Tea Plate diameter 17cm

Pattern No. 4411 or 4417 it is not clear.

CONDITION: See photos.  In good antique condition. Bright colour, a little wear to the gold gilding, otherwise in lovely condition for its age (click on About Our China for more details on condition).
