A late Victorian hand painted teacup, saucer and tea plate trio decorated in an Imari style. This set dates to circa 1912 and was manufactured by Thomas Poole, Cobden Works, Longton, Staffordshire Potteries, England. Generously decorated over glaze in bright enamels, with typical contrasting black and red colours on a crisp white background. The teacup, saucer and tea plate are decorated with scenes of oriental gardens, pargoda and birds. The teacup is lightly footed with a nice wide brim and a ring shaped elegant handle.
