Set of five hand painted Art Deco plates, comprising of four tea/side plates and a large cake/serving plate. Manufactured by Sampson Smith Ltd, under the name Old Royal China, Longton Staffordshire Potteries, England, dating to circa 1930’s. The plates are square shaped with scalloped corners, each corner is decorated with branching out tree pattern. Each side of the plates are decorated with pretty hand painted yellow and orange floral motifs. There is a yellow central ring, which circles a craze like pattern. The cake/serving plate is beautifully shaped with four moulded corners and is further decorated with a gilded scalloped rim.

Condition: In very good condition: Good bright intact colours. Perfect gilding. A few tiny cutlery marks which are not noticeable. Has had very little use.
