Salisbury Tudor Rose Pink Tea Set

A stunning tea set called Tudor Rose Pink.  Comprising of 4 teacups, 4 saucers and 4 tea plate trios, a square cake serving plate, a milk jug and sugar bowl.  Manufactured by Salisbury in circa 1950.  The entire tea set is hand painted with blooming flowers motifs in central panels, tiny swirl patterns and intricate detailing.  Lots of lush gilding in the pattern and around the rims of all pieces.  The teacup rims are beautifully scalloped and gilded which extends to the elegant French looped handle and pedestal foot. The teacup body is slightly fluted, narrowing to a nipped footed base.  The rims of the saucers and tea plates are gently scalloped with gilding for a rich look with the centre of each plate highlighted with more gilded bands.  The cake serving plate is a nice generous square shape, with slightly raised molded patterns at each corner.

Condition: In excellent vintage condition. This set has hardly been used as most of the piece show no wear.  The gilding on the teacup handles and some areas on the rims do show slight wear.  There are tiny firing spots on some of the pieces.  These are all normal characteristics of older china.
